Took my mother here for Mother's Day dinner. Nice decor inside, bigger than I thought. Service was good, they mixed up the rice my mom ordered and brought her baked potato. However after I told the waitress she quickly took it back and switched to rice. Portion size was big for us. The appetizer we ordered never came, but we were not charged for them as well. Perhaps the waitress saw that we did not finish the salad and decided for us that she will not bring the appetizers.

We ordered the prime rib and grilled salmon for dinner with lemon butter sauce. Both were delicious but the vegetable on the side was a bit over cooked. Overall a pleasant experience, price was good, good service and environment. The food also arrived pretty fast and I am pleased with the service from our waitress overall. Will probably come back again ~

Okay food, depends on what you order. Workers are very nice.
You feel like your in your grandma's house. Not a great place for groups. I went there twice, but only once.

Had dinner at Golden Valley on our way through Trenton. Found because of Yelp (Thank you) and called to make sure they were open (it was getting late on a Sunday night).

When we got there we were seated promptly by a very friendly hostess. Our waitress came over quickly and took our orders. This was not rushed service just happily efficient. Our orders ranged from steaks to pork souvlaki to pasta to the beef noodle soup and pork tenderloins. You could say we were trying out the range of their abilities.

Right off they brought a nice warm basket of bread. My kids and I leaped on it and devoured it. It was warm crunchy on the outside and soft inside - and fresh! My daughter almost couldn't open it because it was so warm!

When the beef noodle soup came out (I thought my wife was daring having a hot soup on one of the hottest days of the summer - but apparently this is a way to cool off??). The soup was also wonderful! It was meaty / hearty. Had this been winter I may have joined her.

The main courses came out quickly and each had different things to note.
First The pork tenderloin was tender and done properly! Pork can be overdone so easily so this was good to see. It could have used some more seasoning - since we know they can do that (more to come on that).
The steak was tender and delicious! My 11 year old (who loves steak) made short work of it. She said it was very good and she KNOWS steak.
The pasta was a fettuccini Alfredo. My other daughter is a pasta person and liked this pasta. She said she has had better - but she also wanted to take it home an finish it later. This is a rare occurrence, so speaks for itself.
Finally the Pork Souvlaki. First let me preface this by saying I am Greek, I frequent the Danforth in Toronto, I have had family in the restaurant business. I know Greek food. Growing up one of my uncles made THE BEST PORK SOUVLAKI period, full stop, mic drop. I grew up having this. No one has been able to replicate this. It takes three things to match this - cut of meat used (pork tenderloin is best), seasoning / marinade (secret - have been trying find / duplicate this), and flame grilling - to the right tenderness.  I have never found this, and sadly my uncle is gone and cannot tell me. The pork souvlaki here was close. It had the cut of meat and the right cooking. The seasoning was not the same - but it was good!

I am a fan of this place and will make sure to stop by again if in the area. One of the owners is from Rhodes and they are nice people. Say hi if you get a chance.

Our favourite place for takeout pizza. It's just the perfect thickness and amount of fresh toppings, and each large comes with a free Caesar salad, making it a meal. The salad has the best homemade dressing I've ever had. Worth having to go out and pick it up, or call it in to grab on my way home.

Half cooked pizza and cold spaghetti with no taste not to impressed! Serving such bad quality of food, I have no idea how this place stays open.
